Gotcha Day & Mother's Day Weekend

We had such a great weekend. Thursday Kylee & I left for NY where we would meet up with 3 of the other families we travelled to China with (Steve & Jodi, Brad, Glenda & Macy & Josh & Teri). Joel met us there Saturday morning. We all reunited at one of the other families homes. It was just beautiful there. And there was no shortage of things for the girls to do...trampoline, bouncy house, play house, swing set, etc. Steve & Jodi are the ultimate hosts, their older sons the ultimate big brothers (to all the girls) & their little Faith a bundle of smiles.

We are so grateful for these families that we consider our "China Family". God not only chose our children to be a part of each individual family, but He chose each of these specific families to be one big "Family". We love each of them dearly. There are 5 other familiies that we were missing this year, hope to see you guys next year.

We spent the weekend relaxing, eating, visiting, watching videos, looking at pictures, taking pictures, laughing, crying, eating, watching the girls (Kylee, Faith, Maddie & Mia) enjoy each other, eating and of course reminiscing about that unforgettable 2 week trip we took together 2 years ago. We are all so blessed! We will never be the same!

To see our adoption video from May 2007 look here. For pictures of our 2008 reunion in DC look here & here. Love and miss you, Our China Family. So grateful for you & 2 years with our precious daughter!

Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from our weekend...

So happy for all of you!

These are some wonderful gals and what blessed families are represented here! I used to think Asians all looked alike... oh my, how different each darling girl looks! They look like they are having the time of their lives!

Can't wait to see you in about a week!!

What a special time Shauna! I'm so glad you shared the pics with us. What a gift to all have that connection and bond. The girls will never forget the "family" you have created with each other and they will cherish these relationships forever and ever! Happy Belated Mother's Day Shauna!!!
