This year we drove to Nebraska for our summer vacation. We had a great time on the farm with Grandma & Papa Oswald, Aunts & Uncles & cousins! We had a special treat, My (Shauna's) brother, his wife & their 2 kids joined us there too! It was so fun to have them there. All the kids loved the farm and the unique experiences it brings. They saw & smelled pigs, helped pick & eat garden veggies, had fresh sweet corn on the cob, rode the 4-wheeler, watched the farm equipment working, enjoyed a hay-ride, chased frogs & toads & fireflies, etc. They just loved running & playing outside all day long. The weather was so nice. We ate outside almost everyday. Of course Grandma's cooking is always a special treat! Grandma through a birthday party for all the August birthdays...Uncle Alex, Cousin Daria & Kylee. One day all 18 of us loaded up to head to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. It is one of the best, if not the best zoo I have ever been to. You may remember Kylee losing her sunglasses to the otters there a couple years ago. It rained all day but it really turned out to be a great day. We ended the day at Spaghetti Works in downtown Omaha. On our way back to VA we stopped in Kansas City & spent the night with Uncle Alex, Aunt Gwen, Daniel, Micah & Daria. The kids did really great on the long long drive both ways, though we were all ready to be out of the car. We are so grateful for a wonderful trip & amazing family. We even got to bring home some yummies from the garden, so we are still enjoying the farm & thinking about all the fun we had.

It was fun seeing your pictures and reminiscing again with you about our family time. Hearing and seeing how much the grandkids ( and kids! ) like roaming around on the farm makes me want to stay on the farm as long as we can! You might have to fight me to go elsewhere! ;>) We so thoroughly enjoyed everyone being with us. So many wonderful memories!
