A Sleep-Over & Weekend Away

This last weekend was a first for all of us. Kylee slept over at best friend, Sybella's house (1st night away from Mom & Dad). And Mom & Dad got a much needed weekend away. Kylee was so excited to sleep over Bella's house, she woke us up Sat morning at 6:30 wanting to get dressed and leave right away. You would think she was going to Disney World. Before heading to her sleep over, we attended the preschool fall festival. Of course she stuck with Bella there too. They road the pony carriage, played in the bouncy house, rode a motorized swing, had their faces painted, ate hotdogs & popcorn, and just had a fun morning. It was a joy to watch them. As we knew she would, Kylee had a wonderful time at Camp Simon. Sybella & her brothers wore her out with all sorts of fun. I am not sure she even realized we were gone.
Mom & Dad had a wonderful time at a wonderful Bed & Breakfast in the little town of Harper's Ferry, WV. We had dinner at a fabulous restaurant recommended by the B&B owner and a wonderful breakfast at the B&B. The B&B was in a beautiful location, the home (& our room) was very nice, the owners were very welcoming and the other guests were a delight to share a meal & morning visit with. We spent time walking around a couple of the quaint little historic towns (shops, farmer's market, cafe's) in that area. We even caught a film at a conservation film festival on grizzly's in Yellowstone National Park. It reminded us of our vacation there this summer. It was a fun relaxing weekend for us and we are thankful for the Simon's taking such good care of our girl and allowing us to have some Mom & Dad time.

Keller update: No word from USCIS (immigration) yet. Hoping & praying our approval arrives this week. Our Korea Coordinator is heading over to Seoul next week and is planning a visit with Keller & his foster family. She will take a gift from us and be able to take some new pics of him for us. We got word his paperwork on the Korean side is ready and so we are just waiting on immigration and his US Visa.
