I love, love, love this time of year: lights, trees, snow, music, shopping, presents, decorating, movies, holiday drinks, baking, parties, nativities, the list goes on. And the reason for all the love & celebrating is Jesus' Birthday! It's one big, month long birthday party!
I have won a couple of different blog giveaways in the past year. And since I am in the Christmas mood I decided it was time I do one. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is watch my favorite holiday movies. I shared one of my favorites last week, see here. I thought I would continue to share some of my favorite "Christmas Movie Moments" & other "My Favorite Things" between now & Christmas. The winner of the drawing will receive their choice of DVD from my favorites (it won't actually be mine, it will be a new copy). I may also throw in a little extra surprise. To enter the drawing simply comment on your Favorite Things about this season, movies or other. You may comment on any of the "Movie Moment/Favorite Things Posts".
My Favorite Things: I love going to the post office and finding my box filled with Christmas cards from loved ones!
Favorite Movie Moment #2:
"White Christmas" is my very favorite Christmas movie! Once a year I make Joel watch it with me. It is impossible to choose one single moment that I love most, so you may see more than one from this movie.
*don't forget to pause the music at the bottom of the page, before watching video

Oooooo! A giveaway! I am so playing!!! One of my favorite things about Christmas is......there are so many that this is hard. One of my favorite things that is so superficial is that I love it when Starbucks brings out the red cups for the holidays. I can't wait to order my peppermint white mocha in my bright red festive cup. It just tastes better that way. I also love Christmas plays at church. LG is a reindeer this year and we are so excited to hear the Christmas story in a fun and child-like way!! :-)
I don't think I told you how much I LOVE That photo of Kylee on the Blog header. It should be in an ad for whoever made that outfit!!! She is absolutely precious in it. If you took that, way to go Mom!
One of my favorite things about Christmas is seeing it all through the eyes of my girls! And, in the food category my Mom's Cherry Parfaits on Christmas Eve!
Miss you!
Love,
Diana
Christmas traditions are in GENERAL my favorites - but I must say - Christmas MUSIC has to be the most favorite. NOTHING we do at Christmas seems, well,...as "Christmas-y" without that special background music of MY personal faves: Nat king Cole, Johnny Mathis, and Glen Campbell ( A new fave ever since joining The Leatherwoods in 1997!) Funny how with just a few little notes of "The Christmas Song" by Nat, or "Christmas is For Children", by Glen, or "Oh Tanenbaum" by Johnny Mathis can bring back memories of Christmas Past and help make memories for Christmases Future, too!
I too love all things Christmas and have been working on a favorite things post....I love Charlie brown and kids specials...we watch them as a family! I love taking the kids to see Santa but Christmas eve is my absolute fave!
Always game for a free-bee..
Christmas music..24/7 after Thanksgiving.. decorating..especially placing my small collection of nativities around the house and on the tree ...baking cookies ..reading the Christmas story from the Bible over and over...love opening Christmas mail... dropping money in the red buckets... FAMILY !!!
Happy Birthday, JESUS!!
Mom O.
