If you have read our blog in the past you know our kids love the water and swimming. This was Kylee's first year on a swim team. She loved it. And we loved seeing how much she grew as a swimmer. Being at the pool every morning, maybe love is too strong a word for mom. Especially since most of my time was spent entertaining little brother and keeping him out of the water. But still we enjoyed it. Kylee ended the season with completing her swim/dive board test with flying colors. She swam the full distance of the pool and treaded water for a minute. She is now allowed to jump off the diving board.
In August we spent almost 2 weeks on the Oswald farm, back in Nebraska. My brother & kiddos were able to meet us there as well as Joel's siblings & family. Cousins on both sides had a blast running around in the corn fields, catching toads, riding the 4-wheeler, tractors, trucks. And as usual we enjoyed plenty of deliciously fresh veggies & home cooking. We also ventured up to Omaha to the zoo again this year.
