Preschool Rocks!

Kylee's 1st year of preschool is coming to a close. She has one more day. She has loved it from day one. As I said in another post, the 1st day she walked right in without looking back. It has continued that way. She has learned & grown & had a blast. She has had some fun events the last few weeks, so I want to capture those here.

In April her class prepared for and hosted a special person's tea. I invited our special neighbor & friend "Aunt Joyce" to be Kylee's special guest. Kylee was happy and surprised to see her arrive at school. The class potted flowers and had special treats to share with their special person.

Kylee has a summer birthday, but her teacher wanted to make sure everyone had a special day to celebrate their birthday, even if it wasn't during the school year. So a couple weeks ago it was Kylee's turn to have her day. I asked her what special treat she wanted to take and she said strawberry cupcakes with strawberries on top. Okay, we can do that. I am not sure she grasped celebrating her birthday early or for that matter that she won't be going to school during the summer. But she was all for having a day to celebrate with a special treat.

All year long Kylee has talked about how much she loves her music class with Miss Darlynne. She comes home singing the songs she sings with Miss Darlynne. The last several weeks her class has been preparing for and practicing for an end of the year program. Kylee has been singing these specific songs all the time. So cute! This week Dad, Mom & Keller attended "Preschool Rocks" as Miss Kylee performed with her class. They did wonderfully!

Don't ask about the oversized orange t-shirts....but they did a song about a rainbow and Kylee & her best friend Sybella were assigned the color orange.

Kylee, Sybella and their home room teachers, Miss Kristie & Miss Anne...

Unfortunately Kylee will miss the end of the year party and final day of school this coming Thur. We are leaving after school on Tues for Texas to visit family. But it was a great year and I know she will be excited about going back next year. For now we will spend the summer enjoying the pool, traveling and spending time with family & friends. So proud of my big girl!
